Your life path number is based on your date of birth. Each number from 1 to 9 contains a vibration and each vibration produces a characteristic or predictable result around it. Numerologists believe that we all had a past life. Before you were reborn in this life, you would have reviewed your past life and wondered what you would like to learn this time.

Your date of birth is made up of the numbers YOU chose to put there. These numbers form your life plan, or rather the “contract of your soul”. In your soul contract are all the lessons that you have committed to learn while you are here at Earth School.

For example, if you had come into this life to learn some lessons about handling money, you would have included some 8’s in your chart, because the 8’s have the vibration that is related to the lessons about money. If you wanted to learn some lessons about leadership, you would have added a 1 energy to your chart, because all 1’s are about leadership and pioneering spirit.

The life path number is perhaps one of the most important numbers in numerology because it provides unchanging information. Your date of birth never changes, while your name may change due to marriage or a conscious decision you have made.

Your name is made up of letters. Each letter is assigned a numerical value, which in turn creates a vibration. Your long-term cycles are determined by your name on your birth certificate.

The most important number in your numerology chart is your life path number, which is based on your date of birth. Your life cycle number gives a general overview of the opportunities, challenges and lessons you will encounter in your life.

Here’s how to find your life path number

First, reduce each unit of your birth date (month/day/year) to a single-digit number or a Master number (Master numbers are 11, 22 and 33). Next, add each of the resulting digits (or Master numbers) together and reduce the total again to a single digit, or a Master number.

For example, if you were born on September 19, 1990, you would calculate your Life Path as follows:

First we have the Month: September is the ninth month of the year.

Then the day: The Date of birth is 19. 19 is reduced to 1 we get that by adding 1 & 9 which equals 10. Then we reduce it by adding 1 & 0, which is 1 (1 + 9 = 10, then 1+0 =1).

And last, the Year: The year of birth is 1990. 1990 is reduced to 1 (1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 19, then 1 + 9 = 10 and finally 1 + 0 = 1).

Now add the resulting single-digit numbers: 9 + 1 + 1 = 11.

In this case the number of the life path is 11.
